Trust and privacy
Privacy policy.
This plain-language summary explains what the Ludi Et Historia website uses community information for. Last updated July 30, 2026.
What we collect
When you create an independent account, we receive your email, display name, account status, and the account-security information needed to sign you in. Forum activity may include posts, replies, avatar choice, moderation actions, and approximate last-seen activity for safety and moderation.
We do not display or store your plain-text password in this website. Account authentication and password handling are provided by the configured authentication service.
Public profiles show only your chosen display name, portrait, forum rank, XP, join date, and community activity totals. Email addresses, security events, and staff notes are kept private.
Why we use it
- To provide accounts, forum participation, and supporter access.
- To show your chosen display name and portrait beside posts.
- To prevent abuse, review flagged content, and enforce forum rules.
- To deliver saves, community updates, and account-security emails.
Services and links
Hosting, database, file storage, and account authentication are provided by the services configured for this project. YouTube, Twitch, Patreon, Discord, and other linked platforms have their own privacy policies. Follow external links only when you are comfortable with those services.
Retention and your choices
We keep account and forum information while it is needed to operate the community, prevent abuse, and maintain records. You can request correction or deletion of your account information by contacting the administrator. Some moderation or transaction records may need to be retained for safety, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.
Security and abuse-prevention logs are access-controlled and kept only for as long as needed to investigate incidents. The site does not publish visitor IP addresses in member profiles or forum posts.
